The wombats scientific name is Vombatus ursinus. Although it is mostly referred to by its common name. Body Covering: The Wombat has a coat that varies from black, brown and cream. Average Size: Most Females tend to be slightly larger than males of the same age. The average wombat weighs around 26kg. Fully grown wombats can grow up to 98cm. Behaviors: Wombats have have powerful claws and dig large burrows in which they stay cool in for most of the day. They are solitary animals except for mating season. Enclosure: The wombats enclosure was big for a small animal like itself. There was only one wombat in the enclosure. |
